Jochen the Axeman
A Troll bouncer allied with Lishi
Race: Changeling (Kithain)
Seelie Legacy: Paladin
Unseelie Legacy: Schismatic
Fae Name: Jochen, AKA the Axeman
Mortal Name: John Smith
Honour and justice are two important concepts to the Axeman. This took rather a hard hit when Baroness Ellune, in her madness, decided to punish his eldest son for the supposed theft of a pastry from one of her tables.
All his life he’d served and served well. He upheld his oaths. He endured. But the day Ellune laid a hand on his boy is the day that the Axeman discovered how viciously the fires of his Unseelie side could burn.
Having been born and raised in Annarbour Barony, the Axeman knew where to turn. He’d heard rumours and whispers of growing dissent in the commoners. He met Lishi, and he fell in with her, soon joining her oathcircle.
When Baroness Ellune died, he could only smile, and he turned his back on serving the nobility.
Not even the arrival of the new Baron has enticed him to go back. He is his own man now, and the only ones who earn his protection and his loyalty are his wife, his children, Lishi, and her oathcircle.
On the mortal side of things…
John Smith was born in Ann Arbor and managed to get through high school before his rather chaotic faerie life took over. Fortunately for him, his Kinain wife, Nina, is as kind and understanding as she is beautiful. She has borne him six children, and she works as a teacher in an elementary school.
He, meanwhile, takes care of the little ones whenever he can, but he spends his nights working as a bouncer in a local bar or — whenever possible — as a bodyguard for hire.
